ABOUT Derun Liu & Yan Li

Regis Galerie is proud to introduce the work of Liu Derun and Li Yan Derun to our collection. These images are created by a husband and wife team who work together to bring these incredible images to life. Since 1976, Liu Derun's paintings have been awarded in national art exhibitions worldwide. Their paintings have been collected by the China Art Gallery, private collectors and featured in Sotheby's art catalogue in Hong Kong. There exists in China, a heart-warming and abiding custom. When a child was expected in the family, the mother or a close relative would personally design, sew and stitch an adorable and impressive-looking Tiger Head Hat. They hoped that by wearing the hat, the child would be protected from evil and disease. The hat also symbolizes continuity and prosperity.
